You export from MyCase and we import the MyCase CSV export. Matters, clients and the fields behind them come across on day one, so nobody starts at an empty dashboard typing in the last four years. After that it stops being an import problem: once your mail and calendar are connected through your own Google or Microsoft account, the correspondence on a matter lands there because it happened, not because a paralegal logged it. If you are on something other than MyCase, tell us what it exports and we will look at the file before you sign anything, not after.

Clio holds time and billing; Emerson holds the matter, the correspondence and the deadlines. That is the split most firms end up at anyway.
Is this trust accounting?
Emerson displays funds held in trust separately from outstanding fees. It supports operational visibility; it does not replace your accounting ledger, reconciliation process or professional review.
Does it clear conflicts?
It flags, you clear. Every matter carries a conflict-check flag, and because every email, call and meeting with a person sits on one timeline, typing a name shows you every prior touch with that person, that adverse party or that firm. It surfaces what your own firm has done; a national database and the paper file from 2011 remain their own sources, and the judgement stays yours.
What does a three-lawyer firm pay?
$1,000 a month for the firm. Unlimited people, so the paralegal, the intake person and the attorney who is only in on Thursdays all get in without moving the number. 10 connected mailboxes are included and each one after that is $75. 12-month term. What does it actually replace?
Emerson brings client records, meeting capture, e-signatures, campaigns, tasks and shared documents into one workflow. We review your current tools with you to decide what can be replaced and what should stay.
How long until it is running?
Standard setup takes two business days after we confirm the scope and receive the access and files we need. Larger migrations and custom work get an agreed schedule.
Is it per seat?

Can we get our data out?
Yes, whenever you ask, as a full export in a format you can actually open. Your data is yours. Emerson itself stays ours, so what you would take is the record, not the software.
Do I have to move off the tools I like?
No. Your mail stays where it is, Gmail or Outlook. Emerson reads and writes through your own account rather than replacing it.
