1. Who we are and what this covers
Emerson is the relationship CRM offered by Emerson North LLC ("Emerson," "we," "us"). This Privacy Policy covers emersonone.com, inquiries and demos about Emerson, and the Emerson product and related support services. It is separate from the policy for Emerson North’s agency website and marketing services.
For website inquiries, account administration and our own business records, we determine how personal information is used. When a firm uses Emerson to manage its contacts, communications and other business records, we process that information on the firm’s behalf under its instructions and agreement. Your firm’s own privacy notices also apply to those records.
2. Information Emerson processes
Information you provide may include your name, business email, telephone number, company, role, demo responses, account details, support requests and billing contact information. Payment providers process payment details; Emerson may receive billing status, transaction references and related records.
Customer records can include contacts, relationship history, notes, tasks, opportunities, documents, agreements and payment records. Depending on the features your firm enables, they can also include email content and attachments, calendar events and attendees, messages, call records, meeting recordings, transcripts and AI-generated summaries.
We also process technical information used to operate and protect the service, such as IP addresses, browser and device information, sign-in activity, request logs, errors and service usage. The information available to Emerson depends on what you provide, connect and authorize.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and customer workspaces, organize relationship records, sync connected services, support search and AI features, and carry out communications and workflows your firm requests. We also use it to respond to inquiries, schedule demos, administer subscriptions, provide support, maintain reliability, investigate abuse and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell customer personal information or use customer email, calendar content or relationship records for targeted advertising. We use customer content to provide the service to that customer, not to build advertising audiences.
4. Connected email and calendars
When you connect Google or Microsoft, you authorize access through that provider’s consent screen. Depending on the permissions you grant, Emerson can read and organize email and attachments, send email on your behalf, and read, create or update calendar events. This enables shared relationship history, scheduling, meeting preparation and follow-up. We store authorization tokens and synchronized records needed for those features; we do not ask for your Google or Microsoft password.
You can revoke authorization in your Google Account or Microsoft account or through your organization’s administrator. You can also use the available disconnect controls in Emerson. Revocation prevents further authorized access to that provider; it does not automatically erase records already imported into your firm’s workspace. Contact your workspace administrator or us to request deletion of those records.
5. Google user data and Limited Use
Emerson’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Google data is used for the connected features you authorize. Transfers are limited to providing those features with your consent, protecting security, meeting legal obligations, or a business transfer with the consent required by Google’s policy. Human access to restricted Google data requires your affirmative agreement to view specific data, except for permitted security, legal or aggregated internal-operation purposes.
We do not use Google user data to serve advertising, determine creditworthiness, or develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
Read the Google API Services User Data Policy6. AI, recordings and human access
AI features process relevant customer content to generate drafts, summaries, suggested tasks and answers about the customer’s records. This can involve sending relevant content to AI service providers, including OpenAI. We do not use your firm’s content to train general-purpose AI models for other customers. Provider processing and retention depend on the service and configuration used; this policy does not promise zero retention by every provider.
Calls and meetings may be recorded, transcribed or summarized when those features are enabled. The firm using Emerson is responsible for participant notices, permissions and recording consent. If you participate in a customer’s call or meeting, direct requests about its recording to that firm.
Authorized Emerson North personnel can access customer deployments to operate and support the service. Access to Google data is additionally restricted as described above. People your firm authorizes may see records according to the access provided within its workspace.
9. Retention, exports and deletion
We retain information for the service, support, security, accounting and legal purposes described in this policy. Retention depends on the type of record, the firm’s instructions and its agreement. Customer records remain available while the service is active, subject to those terms.
Your firm can request an export of its data. At the end of service, request an export within the period in your agreement; the standard product terms provide 30 days. After that period, customer records may be deleted. Backup copies age out on their retention cycle, and some records may be retained for legal obligations, security or disputes. Disconnecting an integration and deleting imported records are separate actions.
10. Security and processing locations
Emerson customer workspaces use separate databases and deployments. We use access controls and encryption in transit to protect information, alongside the infrastructure providers’ safeguards. No system can guarantee absolute security. Our security page describes the current product controls.
Emerson North operates in the United States. We and our providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate. If your firm needs a data processing agreement, transfer terms or a particular processing location, contact us before connecting that information.
11. Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy regulator. These rights can be subject to legal exceptions.
Email hello@emersonnorth.com with your request. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. If your information is held in a customer firm’s workspace, contact that firm first; we assist it with requests under its instructions. You can also revoke connected-account access through its provider.
Emerson is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit protected health information unless we have expressly agreed in writing to that use and signed the required business associate agreement. The public website and demo booking form are not intended for patient information.
12. Updates and contact
We will post revisions here with an updated date and provide additional notice or seek consent where required for a material change. Questions about this policy or privacy requests can be sent to Emerson North LLC at hello@emersonnorth.com.
