Emerson vs Affinity

The introduction matters. So does every promise after it.

Compare two approaches to relationship CRM. Affinity combines network intelligence, activity capture and deal workflows. Emerson brings client conversations, commitments, documents and payments into the daily work of the firm.

Start with the job

Where Affinity fits.

Affinity is worth evaluating when warm introduction paths and deal sourcing are central to the job. Its official plans include automatic email and calendar capture; higher plans add meeting and AI capabilities. It is more than a relationship graph.

Checked September 23, 2026. Read Affinity’s official product and pricing information. Confirm current scope and terms with the vendor.

Pricing
AffinityEssential: $2,000 per user/year

The cost of missing context

Test the moments that put trust at risk.

/ 01

A strong introduction can still go cold

The email was sent, the meeting happened, but the next step belongs to nobody. Ask each vendor to show how a commitment becomes a visible task and how the team finds it later.
/ 02

A handoff should carry the history

When an associate moves off an account, the next person needs more than a name and a stage. Demonstrate the last conversation, the document that followed and the open commitment in one workflow.
/ 03

Price the team you will actually include

Assistants and operations staff need context too. Compare the proposed seat mix with Emerson’s unlimited people and mailbox allowance. A useful system is one the right people can access.
Make the right choice

Choose around the work you cannot drop.

Choose Affinity when its network intelligence, deal ecosystem and plan-specific capabilities fit your sourcing process. Evaluate Emerson when your priority is a shared client history and a practical workflow across conversations, documents and payments.

Emerson runs on SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure, and our own certification is underway: policies, access reviews and audit logging are being put in place now, with the external assessment next. If a completed report is a hard gate for you this quarter, ask on the call and we will tell you exactly where we are.

Questions

Before you switch.

Does Affinity capture activity automatically?

Yes. Its official pricing page lists automatic email and calendar capture across tiers. The comparison is about workflow fit, plan coverage and price, not whether automatic capture exists.

Can we use both?

Possibly, but agree which system owns contacts, tasks and reporting before adding another subscription. A direct Affinity integration is not promised here. We can review overlap and available imports with you.

How long until it is running?

Standard setup takes two business days after we confirm the scope and receive the access and files we need. Larger migrations and custom work get an agreed schedule.

Can we get our data out?

Yes, whenever you ask, as a full export in a format you can actually open. Your data is yours. Emerson itself stays ours, so what you would take is the record, not the software.

Bring the last client handoff that was harder than it should have been.
